Investments in Moron to improve water supply to the population
Moron was considered the municipality with the best potable water supply in Ciego de Avila province, because there is an average of 850 litters per inhabitant, over the standard established in our country.
The efficiency in that service was reached, by means of the
development of an important investment which represented a cost of more than $1.300 000, to pay for the acquisition of pumping and repumping equipments with higher power than the previews ones.
Simultaneously, with the installation of the equipments, Moron location also fulfilled an important investing program focused on the improvement of segments of the hydraulic net, among them, the one which goes 800 meters away from the pumping station.
Mr. Roberto Rodriguez Gutierrez, manager of the enterprise in charge of aqueducts and drains in Moron said, that the investing process began at the beginning of 2009, and there are still some works which will enable to supply potable water to any place of the city.
