There are compelled in Moron Hospital measures to save resources
The implementation of several measures in the in-patient units and in the sterilizing area in the General Hospital Roberto Rodriguez in Moron city, permits an important saving of resources, thanks to the effort made by the nursing staff, which support the activity due to the requirement to reduce importations.
To get that aim, they follow the instructions in the pamphlet on reuse and rationalization, what allows them to make the maximum use of materials by asking for them according to the physicians´rescriptions for each and every patient.
Previously, there was a list of materials which did not take into account the real necessities, what made it really difficult to control them, said Mrs. Rachel Valdes Pardo, vice-principal of the nursing staff in the institution.
Nowadays, they have an official form having the clinical history, the number of days as in-patient, and the prescriptions, added Mrs. Valdes Pardo, who reported that the staff is now aware of the situation and the requirements.
There is no doubt, it has been established a better control, and to have an idea about it, last July, there was a reduction of 30 rolls in the use of bandage, which represents a save of $337.00 cuban pesos, in the same way it happens with the gloves, affirmed Valdes Pardo.
She commented that it presupposes the keeping of the quality in the nursing services, and that now, a bigger attention is given to that indicator, for what it represents for the country.
