Ready to increment and sustain farm production, farmers from the location of Moron in Ciego de Avila province, join the answer to the call made by the Army General Raul Castro Ruz to turn to the fields and make them produce, as the only choice to guarantee food for the population.
 
It is a priority for the productive units, the raising of livestock and the growing of domestic birds by the use of remains of the harvest, which allows them to feed the animals, which will pave the way to the self subsistence of the farmsteads in the territory.
 
That activity will support the increasing of the daily food for the farmers´families and what they should deliver to the workers´dining-rooms, they are also establishing new compromises to increase egg production for schools, geriatric centers and pregnancy care homes.
 
The growing of hens, pigs, rabbits, ducks, goats, sheep and turkeys with the needed food in the farms, constitutes an important task of the agricultural branch in the territory, explained Mr. Edelso Lopez Mesa, president of the National Association of Small Production Farmers in Moron.
