Students from the University Site in Moron city, Ciego de Avila province will increase their contact with the care and conservation of the environment by carrying out investigations matching the topic, within the teaching-learning process, in the coming academic course 2010-2011, which is going to start next September, said the municipal authorities.
 
It will be a main goal in the course, to have all the students involved in research works connected with the main environmental problems and their incidence on the contaminative points existing in the location, with the aim to reduce their effects and gain sustainability.
 
It will be a priority, from the coming academic year, the searching of mechanisms to integrate the efforts, by the signing of new contracts which enable the strengthening of the work which is developed by the University Site since its foundation, stated the university’s authorities.
 
Besides, they are going to give special attention to the 6 protected areas of the territory included in the national inventory, focused in the conservation of the species of the flora and the fauna.
 
University students in Moron will be in a close working relationship with the most important institutions in Moron, which belong to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environmental Care, including the Centre for the Creation of Capacities, which becomes the main support for the exchange and catching up of information.
